Following Jesus and the Mindfulness Practice of Solidarity

A book  very influential early in my research journey, Liberating Jonah, was written by Miguel de la Torre. His, The US Immigration Crisis, was recently published, and a short video interview and blog post caught my attention. Many may not agree with his theology, but it is important we consider each other’s perspectives; crucial, when we understand they come after deeply meditating on the scriptures—in context. I especially appreciate his reference to the  Danish model of protecting the most vulnerable members of society.
